Upcoming Event
Jefferson County Humane Society participates in Petsmart Adoption Weekends in Tallahassee, Florida. The 2010 schedule is as follows:
2/12 ??? 2/14, 4/30 ??? 5/2, 9/10 ??? 9/12, and 11/12 ??? 11/14.
Our next big Adopt-A-Thon will be held February 12th, 13th, and 14th, 2010.

Big Sales @ “Wag The Dog” Thrift Shop
The first Saturday of each month, Wag The Dog holds a Big Sale! Come and shop for special sale and clearance items. Proceeds benefit JCHS.

Monthly Membership meetings
Our Membership meetings are open to the public, and are held at the JCHS shelter office, located at 1250 Mamie Scott Drive (next to the Park), Monticello, Florida, on the third Tuesday of every month at 6:30pm.
Volunteer Today
Do you have a love for animals? Volunteers are always welcome! At the shelter, volunteers help by walking dogs, petting cats, and doing general cleaning, chores and maintenance of the shelter grounds. At Wag the Dog, volunteers sort donated clothing, clean and organize, help move heavy items, or help with sales. Through volunteering, every JCHS shelter animal will benefit. Contact JCHS today to volunteer!
